PROBLEMS – CAUSES – REMEDY

18.1

Introduction

This chapter includes possible problems which may occur during machine operation, along with
their causes and solutions.

If the problems persist or become a more regular occurrence even after having carried out the
instructions in this chapter, please contact Miele Service.

18.2

Problems (P) – Causes (C) – Remedy (R)

P. MACHINE DOES NOT START:

Circuit breaker deactivated.

Check the power supply.

P. WASH PROGRAM DOES NOT START:

The door is not closed correctly.

Check door closure.

Lack of process chemicals.

Replace the chemical container and select “Fill DOSx”.

P: MACHINE DOES NOT REACH SET TEMPERATURE FOR THE SELECTED PROGRAM:

Deposits on thermostat probe in wash cabinet.

Clean the thermostat probe in the wash cabinet as described under “Maintenance”.

P. MACHINE DOES NOT PROPERLY RUN WASH PROGRAM:

The nozzles are clogged by deposits or limescale.

Clean the nozzles or spray arms as described under “Maintenance”.

Lack of water.

Ensure sufficient water pressure and remove blockages.

Insufficient water supply for the relevant program.

Shut off the water supply and clean the inlet filters (SERVICE).

P. INCORRECT

DISPENSING:

Chemical dispenser pump is not working properly.

Perform routine maintenance and contact Miele Service or an authorized and trained service
technician.

P: MACHINE DOES NOT DRY:

Air filter of drying system is dirty or clogged.

Contact Miele Service to replace the filter.

The fan of the drying system does not work.

Contact Miele Service or an authorized and trained service technician.
