Problem
Possible cause and remedy
Stainless steel items are
showing signs of
corrosion.
The stainless steel is of insufficient quality for machine
reprocessing.
Only use stainless steel items made of high quality
stainless steel and follow the instructions of the
manufacturer regarding machine reprocessing.
The chloride content in the water is too high.
Have a water analysis check carried out. Connection to
an external water processing unit and the use of
demineralized water may be necessary.
Neutralization has not taken place during the program.
Dispense using the DOS 2 reservoir
in the door:
Refill the reservoir with neutralizing agent.
Dispense via an external container:
Check the level in the supply container and vent the
dispensing system if necessary.
Rust or superficial rust has built up in the wash cabinet,
e.g. due to an excessively high iron content in the water or
rust on other wash load items.
Check the installation.
Discard any rusty items.
