To dismantle the oven door
The oven door is made up of two panes
of glass and has vents at the top and
bottom.
When the oven is operating, air is
circulated through the door to keep the
outer pane cool.
If condensate has worked its way in
between the glass panes, the door can
be dismantled in order to clean in
between the panes.
Clean the glass in the same way as
you would clean the appliance front.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, hard
sponges, brushes or sharp metal
tools to clean glass as these can
scratch the surface. Scratches can
cause the glass to break.
Do not use an oven spray. This will
damage the surface of the
aluminium surrounds.
Ensure that the glass panels are
inserted the correct way round after
cleaning, as each side of the pane
has a different coating. Those
facing the oven interior reflect the
heat.
To avoid the risk of breakage, it is
advisable to place the panes on a
table protected by a soft cloth (e.g.
a towel).
Always remove the oven door before
dismantling it.
^
Place the door on a protective
surface (e.g. on a table cloth) to
prevent it getting scratched. The
door handle should line up with the
edge of the table. Make sure the
glass lies flat and does not get
broken during cleaning.
^
Flip the glass pane retainers
outwards to open them.
You can now remove the inner panes.
