Connection to the water inlet
The dishwasher must be connected
to the water supply in accordance
with the local and national regula-
tions, (NWC in Great Britain).
The dishwasher is constructed to
comply with German water authority
regulations in such a way that an
external non-return valve is not
required.
The water pressure (flow rate) must
be between 2.5 and 10 bar (0.25
and 1 MPa). If the water pressure is
not within this range, the Miele Ser-
vice Department will advise you of
the measures to take. (See also "Pro-
gramming special functions").
The dishwasher is supplied as stand-
ard for connection to cold and hot
(max 70°C) water supply. Colour
markings are blue for cold and red
for hot water. The inlet hoses should
be connected to the respective cold
and hot water stopcocks. If no hot
water supply is available, the hose
for hot water (red marking) must also
be connected to the cold water sup-
ply. In this case both hoses should
be connected to the cold water sup-
ply.
The hose marked with 90 °C should
only be connected to supplies at
maximum 70 °C in order to prolong
its life.
Stopcocks with 3/4 inch BSP male
thread to be provided on site. They
should be as accessible as possible
because the water supply must be
turned off when the machine is not in
use.
The 1/2 inch inlet pressure hoses are
approximately 1.7 m long and termi-
nate in a 3/4 inch female thread. On
no account must the inlet filters be
removed.
For extra protection of the solenoid
valve against impurities in the water
supply, large surface area filters are
enclosed in the kit supplied with the
machine.
(See diagram in "Cleaning and care,
water inlet").
Refer also to the separate Installation in-
structions.
The water in the machine is not suit-
able for drinking.
