Setting the water hardness level

Before the water hardness can be set,
the display message

Set water hard-
ness... must be acknowledged by press-
ing the OK button.
The steam ironing system gives you
the option to set the water hardness
level from 1-10.
Use the following table to determine the
water hardness level that must be set
for your steam ironing system:

31 - 36 32 - 38 Level 8
37 - 45 39 - 47 Level 9
46 - 70 48 - 73 Level 10

Use the arrow buttons

or

on the
control panel to set the water hard-
ness level in your household.
Tip: If the water hardness is fluctuating
(e.g., 39 - 52 gpg/37 - 50 °dH), always
set the highest value (in this example,
52 gpg/50 °dH =
Level 10 ).
Make sure the correct water hard-
ness level is set.
An incorrect setting will invalidate all
warranty claims.

Confirm your selection by pressing
the
OK
button.
The steam ironing system is now set for
the specified water hardness.
The water hardness level can be
changed at any time via the settings
menu (

button, menu option Water
hardness
).
