Supported Modules for the DataDock
The following types of DataDock modules are supported by your DataDock unit.
DataDock 350 (3.5 inch) units are those with model #DD.
DataDock 525 (5.25 inch) units are those with the model #DD525 or DDW525.

DataDock 350 modules can be inserted in DataDock 525s using the DataDock 525
adapter accessory. This item is sold separately and can be ordered from your authorized
MicroNet dealer.
Using Hard Disk Modules
This section is a guide for using the hard disk modules with your DataDock unit.
Starting up the Computer
1.
Turn on the DataDock and insert its modules.
2.
Allow the modules time to spin up.
3.
Turn on other peripherals connected to the computer and allow them sufficient time to
power up.
“Peripherals” are external devices connected to the computer such as scanners, modems, printers and
SCSI devices.
4.
Turn on the computer.
If your system does not recognize a DataDock hard disk module after system start-up, insert the
module into the DataDock unit
during
start-up. This procedure is necessary due to differences
among SCSI controller chips.
