Troubleshooting
The device is not working.
The plug is not connected to the
mains.
Connect the device to a properly
installed AC 220–240 V~, 50/60 Hz
safety socket.
The cooking time has not been
set.
Set the cooking time dial to the re-
quired time.
The food is not cooked.
There is too much food in the food
basket.
Fill the food basket with small
pieces. Smaller pieces cook more
evenly.
The cooking temperature is too
low.
Set the temperature dial to the re-
quired temperature.
The cooking time is too short.
Set the cooking time dial to the re-
quired time.
The food is not cooked evenly.
The pieces of food are too close to
each other.
Shake the food basket and distrib-
ute the food more evenly. Many
foods need to be shaken after half
the cooking time has elapsed.
The fried foods are not crisp
enough.
The food is unsuitable for cooking
in the hot air fryer.
Use oven-ready or lightly oiled
snacks for crispier results.
The lid will not close.
The food basket is too full.
Do not fill the food basket to more
than 800 g.
The food basket is not correctly in-
serted in the frying chamber.
Reposition the food basket cor-
rectly so that it is firmly in place.
The frying chamber is not correct-
ly inserted in the device.
Reposition the frying chamber
correctly.
The food basket handle scratches
against the frying chamber.
Set the food basket handle in the
upright position so that the han-
dle does not touch the frying
chamber.
White smoke comes out of the de-
vice.
The food is very fatty.
During preparation, very fat-
ty foods drip fat into the frying
chamber. The fat causes a higher
temperature than usual to develop
in the frying chamber – this does
not impair the device or the cook-
ing result.
The frying chamber still contains
food residue from a previous meal.
Fat residues burn in the frying
chamber. Clean the frying cham-
ber after every use.
Fresh chips are not evenly fried.
The chips have not been suffi-
ciently soaked.
Soak the chips for about 1/2 hour.
Allow them to drip dry and then
dry them off using kitchen paper.
You have used the wrong variety
of potato.
