Description
SMBus Slave Address
Sets the SMBus (System Management Bus) slave address of the controller to a
valid hexadecimal address value.
SMBus Clock Speed
Sets the SMBus clock speed:
• Feature Disabled (Default)
• SMBus clock speed 100 kHz
• SMBus clock speed 400 kHz
SMBus Clock Stretching
Sets the SMBus Clock Stretching mode:
• Enable: Enables SMBus clock stretching
• Disable: Disables SMBus clock stretching

Description

Sets the SMBus Channel mode:
• Enable: Enables SMBus channel
• Disable: Disables SMBus channel
Use Static EIDs during

Sets the Static End Point Identifier (EID) mode:
• Enable: Enables Static EID
• Disable: Disables Static EID
VDM Discovery Notify
Sets the Vendor Defined Message (VDM) discovery notification mode:
• Enable: Enables VDM discovery notification
• Disable: Disables VDM discovery notification

Viewing Disk Drive Properties
Use the Disk utilities to view the disk drives on a controller and view disk drive properties.
To view disk drive properties:
1.
Start the Microchip SAS/SATA Configuration Utility in UEFI mode (see
9.1. Running the Microchip SAS/SATA
Configuration Utility: Ctrl-A or UEFI/HII?
).
2.
Select your controller, then press
Enter
.
3.
From the main menu, select
Disk Utilities
.
4.
Use the arrow keys to select a disk drive.
5.
Press
Esc
to return to the previous menu.
