Ensure that the MCHPsmartpqi folder is present in the current directory. The dot (.) in following the
command will read this folder as a driver package:
# pkgadd –d .
In the terminal, the following messages will appear:

Use the following command to confirm whether the driver is loaded or not:
# modinfo –c | grep smartpqi

Use the following command to identify the driver package information:
# pkginfo –l MCHPsmartpqi
Removing the Driver Package
1.
Remove the loaded driver package using the following command:
# pkgrm MCHPsmartpqi
In the terminal, the following messages will appear:
The following package is currently installed:
MCHPsmartpqi MICROCHIP Smart PQI RAID Controller driver
(i386) 1.0.0-100,REV=2016.06.06.22.10
The following prompt will appear:
Do you want to remove this package? [y,n,?,q]
