Satellite

–

communication

For areas with no GSM/LTE coverage, Metricorr offers a solution for dataloggers to transmit their

measurement data to WEBservice via satellites. Our standard configuration for satellite communication is

based on a solar/battery powered Masterlink-datalogger with a satellite modem; all housed in a 40cm x

40cm x 20cm cabinet as shown below

. (Similar to the “Solar Junction Box” described in section 5.)

The satellite modem is mounted under the top of the cabinet and is connected to the MasterLink and

battery charger via the DIN-rail ter relay to the right, (internal connections only). The cabinet

shown also holds optional extra surge protection for areas with increased risk of surges from lightnings.
