Working safely with the appliance 

For your safety 

Before starting work, familiarize yourself with the hazards described in '

Hazards and safety precautions 

when moving the appliance

' on page 25. 

 

Eligibility of personnel for moving the appliance 

Personnel eligible for moving the appliance: 

  Only personnel who are trained in the use of a pallet truck and fork-lift truck for handling purposes are 

permitted to move the appliance. 

  Personnel must be aware of the regulations relating to handling heavy loads. 

 

Personal protective equipment 

Wear the following personal protective equipment specified in the section '

Moving heavy loads 

 

Risk of injury from lifting incorrectly 

When lifting the appliance, the weight of the appliance may lead to injuries, especially in the area of the 
torso. 

 

Use a fork-lift truck/pallet truck to move the appliance. 

 

When lifting the appliance, use enough people for the weight of the appliance (value depending on 
age and gender). Observe the local occupational safety regulations. 

 

Wear personal protective equipment. 

 

Unsuitable supporting surface 

 

Risk of crushing if the appliance tips over or falls off 

Body parts can be crushed if the appliance tips over or falls off.
