Appendix H

Firmware

Upgrades

The Mercury 2+ unit supports insitu upgrades to its firmware,
giving the ability to add new features and fix software issues
without having to return units to the factory.

To support this, Mercury HMI Ltd provide a Windows based
software package allowing end users to update the firmware.

Connection

The Mercury 2+ unit should be connected to the R507/R507A
barrier as per normal operation.

The Windows PC must also be connected to the Safe Area
connections (either RS232 or RS422/485) via a suitable cable.

Step 1 : Select serial port

After running up the software, please select the required comms
port.
