OCTOBER 2012
Checking and Filling
1. Stop the engine. Allow approximately five minutes for the oil to drain into the oil pan. The boat must be at rest in the water.
IMPORTANT: Always use the dipstick to determine the exact quantity of oil or fluid required.
2. Remove the dipstick, wipe clean, and install fully into the dipstick tube. Wait 60 seconds to allow trapped air to vent.
NOTE: Install the dipstick with the oil level indication marks facing the rear of the engine (flywheel end).

4. If the level is below the add mark, remove the oil fill cap and add the specified oil to bring the level up to the OK range on
the dipstick. Check the oil level as you fill the system.

Changing
Refer to

for the engine oil and filter change interval. Engine oil and filter should be changed before
placing the boat in storage.
IMPORTANT: Change the engine oil when the engine is warm from operation. Warm oil flows more freely, carrying away more
impurities. Use only recommended engine oil (refer to Specifications).
Using the Easy Engine Oil Drain System, If Equipped
NOTE: The boat must be out of the water to perform this procedure.
