Lubricate pivot points with specified motor oil.

SHIFT CABLE

Lubricate pivot points with specified motor oil.

Lubricate poppet ball and holes in lever with specified motor oil.

IMPORTANT: Poppet Ball MUST BE centered in detent hole for each F-N-R position.

Shift lever must be over this letter when propelling boat FORWARD.

IMPORTANT: Remote control, shift cable and linkages, must position transmission shift lever so that it
is fully in the forward and reverse gear detent positions with the lever over the letter “F” on transmission
case when propelling boat forward. IMPROPER POSITIONING OF SHIFT LEVER MAY CAUSE TRANSMIS-
SION TO FAIL. Damage caused to transmission as a result of improper shift lever positioning will not be
covered by Velvet Drive Transmission Warranty.
