detect or signal low tire pressure as intended.
TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety of
reasons, including the installation of
incompatible replacement or alternate tires
or wheels on the vehicle that prevent the
TPMS from functioning properly. Always
check the TPMS malfunction telltale after
replacing one or more tires or wheels on your
vehicle to ensure that the replacement or
alternate tires and wheels allow the TPMS to
continue to function properly.
Unlocking/locking manually
Unlocking the vehicle
If you cannot unlock the vehicle with the
SmartKey, unlock the driver’s door and the
tailgate using the mechanical key.
Removing the mechanical key

Move locking tab
:
in the direction of
arrow.

Slide mechanical key

out of the housing.
Unlocking the driver’s door

Insert mechanical key

into the driver’s
door lock.

Turn mechanical key

counterclockwise
to position
1
.
X
Pull the door handle past the resistance
point until the locking knob moves up.
The driver’s door is unlocked.
X
Pull the door handle once more to open the
driver’s door.
X
Turn mechanical key
;
back and remove
it from the driver’s door lock.
Locking the vehicle
If you cannot lock the vehicle with the
SmartKey, lock it as follows:
X
Close the rear doors, the driver’s door, and
the tailgate.
X
Press down the locking knobs of the rear
doors and the driver’s door.
! To prevent inadvertent lockout, make
sure to have the SmartKey with you before
proceeding with the next step. The next
step will lock the vehicle.
X With the front passenger door opened,
press down the locking knob.
X Close the front passenger door.
The front passenger door is locked.
i This procedure does not lock the fuel filler
flap.
