The thrust washers (148 and 148a) installed in

the crankcase and in the bearing caps have a

different shape.

The thrust washers in the crankshaft bearing

caps each have two retaining lugs to prevent

rotation and installation errors, whereby the lower

retaining lugs are off-center.

When reconditioning crankshafts, regrind

of fitted bearing journals to one of the

dimensions shown in the table (section “Data”).

Match thrust washers to respective journal width

(table).
