If you open a window, the panorama slid-
ing/tilting sunroof* or the sliding/tilting sun-
roof* manually after closing using the conveni-
ence closing feature, they will remain in this po-
sition when opened using the convenience
opening feature.
Residual heat/auxiliary ventilation
After the engine is turned off, you can still
heat the stationary vehicle with the resid-
ual heat of the engine for 30 minutes after
removing the key or turning it to position
0 or 1 in the ignition lock. The maximum
heating time is 30 minutes. It depends
upon the interior temperature previously
set and the coolant temperature.

If you activate residual heat at high temper-
atures, only ventilation will be activated.

The blower will run at a low speed regard-
less of the airflow setting.

To activate: turn the key to position 1
or 0 in the ignition lock or remove it.

Press the
T
button.
The indicator lamp in the button comes
on.

To deactivate: press the
T
button
again.
The indicator lamp in the button goes
out.

Residual heat/auxiliary ventilation is deac-
tivated automatically:
I if you turn the key to position 2 in the igni-
tion lock
I after about 30 minutes
I if the battery voltage drops
Cooling with air dehumidification
The cooling function is operational when
the engine is running and cools according
to the interior temperature selected. The
cooling also dries the air inside the vehicle
and thereby effectively prevents the win-
dows from misting up.

Risk of accident
If you deactivate the cooling function with
air dehumidification, the vehicle will not be
cooled in warm weather and the air will not
be dehumidified. The windows could mist up
more quickly. This may prevent you from ob-
serving the traffic conditions, thereby caus-
ing an accident.

Environmental note
The cooling system uses the refrigerant
R134A. This refrigerant does not damage
the earth's ozone layer.

Condensate may drip from the underside of
the vehicle when Thermatic is in cooling mode.

To deactivate:
press the

button.
The indicator lamp in the button goes
out. The cooling function with air dehu-
midification has a delayed switch-off
feature.

To activate: press the

again.
The indicator lamp in the button comes
on. The cooling with air-dehumidifica-
tion function is activated.
Rear-compartment air conditioning
You can also adjust the temperature and
airflow using the rear-compartment con-
trol panel.
