Engine Oils

Engine oils are specifically tested

fo r th eir suitability in our engines.

Therefore,  use  only engine oils
recomm ended  by  us.  Inform ation
on  recomm ended  brands  is avail
able  at  any  MERCEDES-BENZ
service  station.

A new or reconditioned engine is
filled w ith an initial operation oil in

the fa c to ry or in a MERCEDES-

BENZ service station. This oil is

specially developed fo r the specific
operating conditions during the
firs t 300 — 600 miles

( 5 0 0 -1 ,0 0 0 km).

A recomm ended engine oil m ay be

used fo r topping up if the oil level

drops o f the dipstick m inim um
mark prior to the firs t service

300 - 600 miles ( 5 0 0 -1 ,0 0 0 k m ).

Brake Fluid

Brake flu id should be changed

once a year, preferably in spring.

Only  use  brake flu id   recommended
by  us.  For fu rth e r  inform ation,
refer  to  "Save  D riving".
