You could otherwise be locked out when
pushing or towing the vehicle.
Fitting the towing eye
Opening the front cover
The mountings for the removable towing eyes
are located in the bumpers. They are located
at the front and rear under the covers on the
right-hand side of the vehicle when viewed in
the direction of travel.

Press cover 1 back in the direction of the
arrow.

Take cover 1 off the opening but do not
remove it.
Opening the rear cover

Press cover 1 back in the direction of the
arrow.

Take cover 1 off the opening but do not
remove it.
Securing the towing eye

Take the towing eye and the wheel wrench
from the vehicle tool kit (
Y
page 172).
X
Screw in the towing eye clockwise to the
stop.
X
Insert the wheel wrench handle into the
towing eye and tighten.
