INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this user guide carefully 
before using it for the first time. Take particular note of the safety precautions. We 
also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can 
remind yourself of the functions of your appliance.

SAFETY MEASURES

General 

  Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and damage to the 

appliance.

  Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any 

injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee 

Terms).

  For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.

  For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only. The appliance must be earthed.

  The appliance, cord or plug must not be placed in water or any other liquid.

  Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.

  Do not cover.

  Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.

  Keep the appliance under constant supervision while in use. Children may only 

use the appliance under the supervision of an adult.

  NEVER use the appliance if the front section is missing or defective. 

  Never insert anything into the apparatus – especially when in use.

Use

  Place the appliance on its base on a level, straight and dry surface. The 

appliance is not to be mounted onto a wall, ceiling or similar.

  Never use the appliance near flammable gasses or liquids, or in a damp 

environment.

Cord and plug

  Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any extension cord. 

  Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot objects and naked 

flames.

  Turn off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket when cleaning, or 

when not in use. Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. 
Instead, hold the plug.

  The cord must not be twisted or wound around the appliance.

  Check regularly that neither the cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if 

there is any damage, or if it has been dropped on the floor, dropped in water or 
damaged in any other way. 

  If the appliance, cord or plug have been damaged, have them inspected and 

if necessary repaired by an authorised repair engineer. Never try to repair the 
appliance yourself. Please contact the store where you bought the appliance for 
repairs under guarantee. Unauthorised repairs or modifications to the appliance 
will invalidate the guarantee.

Batteries

  Check plus and minus poles are correctly aligned since incorrectly inserted 

batteries may damage the remote control.

  Remove the batteries from the remote control, if the appliance is not to be used 

for a prolonged period.

  Always replace both batteries at the same time.

  Never mix different types of battery (e.g. manganese dioxide batteries and 

alkaline batteries), old and new batteries or different makes of batteries.

PREPARING THE APPLIANCE
Clean the appliance before using it (see 
the section “Cleaning” below). Assemble the appliance before use following the 
instructions below. 

1.  Attach the rear part (2) to the motor unit (4) so 

that the two dowels on the motor unit fits into 
the grooves of the rear part ring. The handle at 
the back of the rear part must face upwards.

2.  Guide the ring (5) over the spindle (3) so that the 

flange is against the rear part and screw the ring 
into position (see picture I) 

3.  Guide the propeller (7) over the spindle and 

press it as far as it will go (see picture II) 

4.  Guide the holder for the propeller (6) over the 

spindle and secure it (see picture III)  

5.  Attach the front guard (1) to the rear part by 

attaching the lock fitting (18) on the top of 
the front guard to the rear part. Make sure 
that the hole for the lock nut is level with the 
corresponding hole at the bottom of the rear 

part. 

6.  Tilt the remaining four lock fittings so that they 

join the edge of the front guard and the rear 

part. 

7.  Attach the lock nut (8) in the hole below and 

securely tighten the nut (see picture IV). 

8.  Join the two sections of the base cross section 

(15) as shown in picture V. 

9.  Place the lower part of the stand (13) on the 

cross section so that the mounting holes sits 
above the holes in the base cross section and 
secure it using the four mounting screws (see 
picture VI).  

10. Slide the base collar (14) down the stand and 

press it into position on the base cross section 
as shown in picture VII. 

11. Press the four plastic feet (16) into the ends of 

the base cross section as shown in picture VIII.
