4 – Correct use
The circular saw bench is designed for
along-the-grain and across-the-grain
(with angle stop only) cutting of wood of
all kinds in keeping with the size of the
saw bench. It must not be used to cut
round timber of any kind. All other
applications are expressly excluded. The
user/operator and not the manufacturer is
liable for any damage or injury resulting
from the improper use of the saw. Only
saw blades suitable for the saw bench
may be used. The use of cutting-off
wheels of any kind is prohibited. Proper
use also includes adherence to the safety
instructions and the hints for operation
in the operating instructions. Persons
using and servicing the saw bench
must familiarize themselves with these
instructions and be aware of any possible
hazards. Further, the accident-prevention
regulations in force must be closely
adhered to. Other general industrial
health and safety regulations must be
adhered to. Any changes made to the
saw bench will wholly invalidate the
manufacturer’s liability for loss or damage
arising from its use and will result in a
lapse of the guarantee. Even in the case
of proper use certain residual risk factors
due to the saw bench design cannot be
completely precluded:
• Contact with the saw blade at those
points where it is not covered.
• Contact with the edge of the rotating
saw blade, resulting in cut injuries.
• Knock-back of workpieces and parts
of workpieces through incorrect
handling.
• Breakage of saw blades.
• Flying off of defective hard-metal parts
of the saw blade.
• Damage to hearing through failure to
use the necessary ear protectors.
• Harmful emissions of wood dust
through use in confined spaces.
The machine is intended only for use in
the household.
5 – General safety
instructions for handling
power tools
WARNING! Read all safety
warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for
future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings
refers to your mains operated (corded)
power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.
Work area
•
Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered and dark areas invite
accidents.
•
Do not operate power tools in
explosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gases
or dust.
Power tools create sparks
which may ignite the dust or fumes.
