9 – Mode of operation
1. Press the workpiece carefully on to the
saw blade, using adequate pressure.
2. The maximum thickness of the material
to be cut must not exceed 40 mm.
3. To prevent the workpiece breaking or
turning, press it firmly against the saw
bench with your hands and slide it
slowly against the saw blade.
4. Use a sharp saw blade only. Never
use damaged or deformed blades.
Only saw blades recommended by
the manufacturer should be used.
5. Do not overload the saw. The saw
blade must always cut at full speed,
so feed the material to it evenly
without exerting heavy pressure.
6. When cutting very slender workpieces,
feed the workpiece to the saw with the
pushing stick (3), until the end of the
workpiece enters the splitting wedge
zone (Fig. 9).
7. If possible, when cutting, use the
parallel stop.
8. Note that the choice of saw blade
and blade speed depend upon the
material being sawn.
9. Exercise care when cutting!
Dust extraction
This circular saw bench is fitted
with a chip ejector hole (19) and
can be connected up to a
household vacuum cleaner with a flow
rate of at least 20 m/s. Follow the
manufacturer’s instructions. If necessary,
use a suitable commercially available
adapter.
CAUTION! To prevent damage to
health from breathing in harmful
dust always use the circular saw in
combination with a working dust
extractor system.
10 – Maintenance and
environmental
protection
Maintenance
Before starting work
Check cable and power plug for damage.
If faults occur: Do not operate the
machine! Have the fault repaired by an
approved specialist!
Remove chips and waste from the saw
bench!
Check saw blade for damage and
wear. Use only saw blades with sharp,
undamaged cutting teeth!
Cleaning
Risk of injury! Always unplug
from the power supply before
cleaning! Risk of damage to machine!
Do not wet-clean the circular bench
saw! Do not use any solvents!
While working with the saw:
Empty the catcher bag of the chip
extractor regularly. To prevent overheating:
do not allow chips to build up!
After work
• Using a dry brush, clean dust and
chips from ventilation slots of the
motor housing.
