Maintenance
Air Filter
The air filter is located under the seat. To access the filter, remove the seat (see page 38) .
Remove the lid from the air clearer assembly which is secured by 4×screws. The filter can then be lifted out of the
assembly.
Under normal operating conditions, the filter requires no maintenance outside of the normal servicing schedule. If
however, the bike is used in conditions where the filter is contaminated with foreign material, it may require additional
inspection.
Filter inspection -
Remove retaining screws from the air filter housing. Remove the element and inspect for
contamination. Contamination can be removed by using low pressure air stream or gently tapping the filter.

Warning -
Do not use high pressure air stream or hit the filter aggressively against a hard surface as it may damage
the component and not function correctly.
If there is excessive contamination, replace the element.

Do not operate the bike without a filter correctly in place.
