Setting the cutting height
You can adjust the cutting height to between 38-
76 mm. The height markings (2) are visible on
the trimmer shaft. The standard cutting height is
51 mm. Use the T key (4) to loosen the height
adjustment screws (1). Both screws must be
loosened in order to adjust the height. Place the
trimmer head (3) at the required height and re-
tighten the screws. The tightening torque should
be 3.5 to 5 Nm.
Tips when trimming
Check the work area before starting the trimmer. Free flying sticks, stones and gravel could injure
people or damage property.
Set the throttle control lever at FAST. If the grass/weeds are high and thick, the trimmer should be
operated at lower speeds than usual.
Make sure that the ends of the trimmer lines do the cutting. This ensures better cutting results and
the lines will last longer.
Replace the trimmer lines when they have worn to half their original length.
Do not use the trimmer on steep slopes.
If the trimmer head comes into contact with concrete, asphalt and hard surfaces this could lead to
rapid wear of the trimmer head.
Gradient guide
Hold the illustration horizontally as this will help you determine how steep the slope is.
Always cut across the face of slopes, not up and down.
Do not mow slopes with a gradient of more than 15
.
A

gradient increases the height by about 0.55 metres over a distance of 3 metres.
A
