the protector is not damaged� The spark arrestor must not be damaged or cracked�
Replace the spark arrestor if it is damaged�

Refit the spark arrestor, muffler cover and exhaust deflector in reverse order�

Cleaning collection bowls
WARNING!

Petrol is very flammable and explosive� There is a risk of serious injury when handling fuel�

– Keep sources of heat, sparks and naked flames at a distance�

– Always handle fuel outdoors�

– Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately�

Set the fuel tap to the OFF position and remove the collection bowl and o-ring�

2�

Clean the collection bowl and o-ring using a non-flammable solvent and wipe thoroughly�

3�

Refit the o-ring in the fuel tap, refit the collection bowl and tighten it to ensure it is securely
in place�

4�

Set the fuel tap to the ON position and check for leaks� If there is a leak, replace the o-ring�

Servicing spark plugs
NB

• Using the wrong spark plugs can damage the engine�
• Use the dedicated spark plug socket included�

1�

Remove the spark plug cap and clean any dirt from around the spark plug�

2�

Remove the spark plug using a 21 mm (13/16”) spark plug socket�

3�

Check the spark plug and replace it if the electrodes are worn or if the insulator is cracked or
damaged�

4�

Measure the spark plug electrode gap using an appropriate instrument� The gap should be
0�70-0�80 mm� If necessary, adjust the gap by carefully bending the side electrode�
