OPERATION
NOTE.
• A sweeper is a demanding machine. Only trained personnel, or persons without training but
supervised by trained personnel, may use the machine.
• Carry out daily maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
• Only operate the sweeper’s controls in an appropriate area.
• Make sure that you are in a safe area and not in the vicinity of traffic or other dangers.
• Make sure that all parts are correctly mounted.
• Damaged and fatigued parts should be replaced.
• Check the tyre pressure before use.
• Remove all objects which can be damaged by airborne debris from the area to be swept.
• Make sure that no one is within range of the sweeper’s ejection area.
• Always use appropriate clothing, such as long-sleeved shirts with buttoned cuffs, protective
goggles or mask, hearing protection and respiratory protection.
• Make sure that the brush hood, other hoods and other safety devices are in place when the
machine is being used.
• Check whether there is a large object which could pose a risk to the user or others in the even it
is flung of by the sweeper. Remove these objects before the sweeper is used.
• Exposure to crystalline silica dust and other hazardous dust can cause serious or fatal lung
diseases.
• In cases where equipment being used may cause high levels of dust, we recommend using the
system for dust control and dust collection as well as protective gear as needed.
