4.
Checking the precision of the vertical line
Mark a point A on the wall, 3 m from the floor (see fig.).
Take the plumb point B from point A and mark it on the floor.
Place the appliance 3 m from point B.
Start the appliance and align its vertical line towards point B.
Mark point C on the line opposite A. If the gap between A and C is less than 1.5 mm, the appliance
complies with its specified precision.
5.
Checking the precision of the zenith and plumb points.
Place the appliance 1 m over the floor in a room with a ceiling height of 4 m. Start the appliance.
Mark the plumb point A on the floor and the zenith point B on the ceiling.
Turn the appliance 180° and align the point of the beam towards A.
Mark point B’ on the ceiling (see fig.).
Measure the distance between B and B’. If the gap is more than 3 mm, hand in the appliance to an
authorised service centre.
