Slot width 29 mm 2 spacers (10 mm and 15 mm) between the diamond discs.
Cutting line laser
(fig. 6)
The tool has a cutting line laser (14), which makes it easy to follow the marked cutting line.
NOTE:
The
laser beam is in line with the inner diamond disc.
1.
Mark out the required cutting line with a pen.
2.
Switch on the laser beam by moving the laser switch (15) to ON.
3.
Keep the laser beam aligned along the marked cutting line during the work.
4.
After completing the work, switch off the laser beam by moving the laser switch to OFF.
5.
The laser is powered by 2 1.5 V AAA batteries.
NOTE:
Do not carry out any other maintenance measures or adjustments other than those described in
these instructions – risk of exposure to laser radiation.
Laser light. Never go within the range of the laser.
Laser class 2.
Complies with requirements in EN
60825.
P < 1 mW/l = 635 nm
Dust extraction
•
The tool has an adapter for dust extraction (fig. A, position 23).
•
Never start the tool if it is not connected to suitable dust extraction equipment.
•
Check that the suction hose is correctly connected to the adapter. Stop working immediately if the
dust extraction stops working. Do not resume the work until the dust extraction is working again.
•
The dust extraction equipment must be suitable for the material being worked.
•
Special dust extraction equipment must be used when working with toxic materials, or materials that
produce dust that is harmful to health.
•
Never use household vacuum cleaners, they cannot be fitted with the necessary filters for the dust
that is produced. The use of household vacuum cleaners can result in the risk of personal injury
and/or material damage.
•
For best results, use dust and liquid suction equipment with suitable filters. Consult an expert if in
doubt.
Use
(fig. 8)
The tool is only intended for dry slot cutting in concrete, brickwork and the like.
1.
Mark out the cutting line before starting the work.
2.
Adjust the slot width and cutting depth.
3.
Hold the tool firmly with both hands. Press the front edge of the depth stop (10) against the wall.
4.
Start the tool and wait until the disc has reached full speed.
5.
Carefully lower the tool against the wall until the diamond disc cuts into the wall. Hold the tool firmly
with both hands.
6.
Hold the tool with both hands and keep the base plate firmly pressed against the wall.
7.
Move the tool fowards with a smooth, moderate pressure, depending on the type of material. Always
move the tool in the opposite direction of rotation of the discs, as shown with an arrow on the
protective casing. Otherwise there is risk of the tool moving out of control away from the cutting line.
NOTE:
During the work the tool can move backwards towards the user and the depth stop can be
lifted from the wall.
8.
After finishing the cut, pull the tool back slightly, switch off the tool and lift if from the cutting area.
IMPORTANT:
•
Switch off the tool, unplug the power cord and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped
and the discs have cooled before putting the tool away.
•
Clear any residual material from the slot with the supplied chisel.
•
Never attempt to cut curved slots with the tool – risk of jamming the discs.
•
Tiles, clinker and other similar materials should be placed on a stable surface before working on
them, or be safety blocked up, to prevent them from cracking.
•
When working with very hard materials, such as fibre concrete, the diamond discs can get overheated
and damaged.
