power switch.
5. Start the battery powered shovel by
pushing forward the small lock button
(safety switch) on the top handle and
pressing the start button at the same time.
The battery powered shovel keeps working
when the start button is pressed in.
6. After starting the machine, release the
safety switch. Switch off the machine by
releasing the power switch.
SNOW CLEARING
1. First check that there are no stones,
rubbish, wires or other objects in the area
where the snow is being cleared.
2. Check that all the assembly parts (nuts
and screws etc.) are firmly tightened
so that the machine is in safe working
condition.
3. Check are regular intervals that the snow
screw is not worn.
4. Point the snow ejector in a safe direction.
Do not point the snow ejector at yourself,
other persons or objects.
5. Clear snow frequently to prevent it getting
too deep. Clear snow as soon as possible
after a snowfall for the best results.
6. Lift up the snow screw a little before
starting the machine.
7. Tilt forward the machine until the scraper
blade touches the ground. Push forward
the machine at a convenient speed,
but slowly enough to clear all the snow
from the ground. The forward speed will
depend on the depth of snow.
8. Clear snow to the right or left by holding
the machine at a slight angle.
9. The machine can handle a depth of snow
of up to 15 cm in each sweep. If the snow
is deeper, hold both handles and work
with a sweeping or brushing movement.
“Shave” off the top layer and make
several sweeps.
FIG. 3
10. Large areas need to be cleared with a
definite working pattern to remove all the
snow. The working pattern prevents snow
accumulating where it is not wanted.
Pattern A
Throw the snow to the right or left side (where
possible). For example, on a long drive it
is advantageous to start in the middle (top
diagram). Clear paths from one end to the
other and throw snow on both sides.
FIG. 4
Pattern B
If snow can only be thrown on one side of the
drive or path, start on the opposite side (with
the snow ejector pointing to the throw area).
FIG. 5
NOTE:
• If all the snow is cleared down to the
paving/asphalt this can scratch and
damage the machine casing and snow
screw. Leave one to two centimetres of
snow on the ground to protect the
machine. The rest of the snow can be
removed with salt or a shovel.
• Allow the motor to run for a short while
after the clearing is finished so that no
moving parts freeze to the ground
because of ice.
• Switch off the motor. Wait until all
moving parts have stopped. Remove the
battery and brush off any ice and snow.
