SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully before use!
Read all operating and safety instructions carefully before use.
Follow the safety instructions when working with power tools to safeguard against the risk of fire,
electric shock and personal injury.

The tool does the job better and safer when used at the rate for which it was designed.
Use the correct tool. Do not force small tools or accessories to perform jobs that require a heavy-
duty tool.
Use the tool only for its intended purpose.
Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery. They can get caught in
moving parts.

Use personal protective equipment.
Wear safety goggles, face mask, ear protection, helmet, gloves and non-slip footwear to reduce the
risk of personal injury.
Be careful with the power cord. Never carry the tool by the cord. Do not pull the power cord to
disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
Keep the power cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Check the cord regularly. A damaged cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre.
Check extension cords at regular intervals, and replace them if they are damaged.
Secure the workpiece with a clamp, vice or clips.
This is safer than using your hands and means you have both hands free to operate the tool.
Do not overreach.
Always maintain a firm footing and good balance.
Maintain the tool in good order.
Keep the tool clean for better and safer performance.
Follow the instructions for lubrication and replacement of accessories.
Keep the handles clean, dry and free from oil and grease.
Always unplug from the mains power before carrying out service work or changing accessories,
such as bits.
Remove adjuster keys/spanners and other assembling tools before starting the power tool.
Avoid accidental starting.
Never carry a power tool with your finger on the switch when it is connected to the mains.
Make sure the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the cord.
Extension cords. If you are using an extension cord, the cross section of the conductors must be
sufficient for the tool's power supply. If using the machine outdoors, only use an extension cord
approved for outdoor use.
