Connecting the power supply
− Connect the mains plug on the device to an easily accessible 220 to 240 V ~ 50 Hz mains socket. The socket
must always be easily accessible.
Switching the smart TV on and off
− Set the mains switch on the bottom of the device to ON

. The TV set then starts and the display on the front
lights up.
− Switch the device to standby mode using the standby/on button on the remote control or by pressing and
holding MODE

on the multifunction switch. The device continues to use power even when switched off
(see also the relevant power consumption in standby mode in the “Product data sheet” section on page 66).
− To switch the device on from standby mode, press
• on the remote control: the standby/on button, one of the number buttons or one of the P

/

buttons;
• on the device: MODE . multifunction switch
− Use the mains switch to switch off the device ( OFF position). The device will continue to consume power as
long as it is connected to the mains network (see the relevant power consumption when switched off in the
“Product data sheet” section on page 66).
If the device is not receiving an input signal, it will automatically switch to standby mode after three
minutes. A countdown timer will be displayed on the screen until this time. This function is not available
for all sources.

− Before wiring and fi rst use, you must also read the operating instructions of the devices you
are connecting. Take care to ensure that all devices are switched off during wiring.

− Take care to ensure that the plugs and corresponding sockets fi t together precisely in order to
avoid any damage to the contacts. Due to the arrangement of the contacts, many plugs will
only fi t into the socket in one position.
