The Medialon Showmaster Recovery Tool can only be used when Showmaster is started in 

Recovery Mode. 

Get Connected 

Your computer can be connected to Showmaster using a serial (null modem) cable plugged into 

the Showmaster’s Serial port 1. It is also possible to use a network connection to establish the 

communication. 

Serial Connection

If your computer uses COM port 4, type  

mode serial 4

 

2.

 

Medialon Recovery Tool’s response:  

Connection mode set to ‘serial’

 

3.

 

Type connect plus a space and the password (The default password is ‘medialon’)
