Important
MED‑EL strongly recommends that you do not change the magnet yourself, but have
your audiologist or clinical staff do it. If you notice any signs of skin irritation around
the coil, contact your clinic or CI centre.
Your coil contains a strong magnet. Keep clear of metallic items as they attract the
magnet. Never place the coil or a magnet on the SONNET 2 control unit. It is even more
important to follow this guideline if you are using a SONNET 2 EAS. The SONNET 2 EAS
contains elements which are sensitive to magnets and might be permanently damaged
by strong magnetic fields.
