Customizing your RDA (Introduction to the Meazura™ MEZ1000 RDA)

Palm Desktop Software

Palm Desktop software includes the same main applications as your Meazura™ MEZ1000 RDA:
Address Book, Date Book, To Do List and Memo Pad. You can use the HotSync feature of this software
to back up and exchange data between your RDA and your desktop computer.

It's a good idea to back up your data in case something happens to the data on your Meazura™
MEZ1000 RDA. Changes you make on your Meazura™ MEZ1000 RDA or Palm Desktop appear in both
places after you synchronize.

Using the Palm Desktop, you can do the following:

·

Work with your Meazura™ MEZ1000 RDA applications on your desktop computer. Palm Desktop
duplicates the Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, and Memo Pad applications on your RDA, so
that you can view, enter, and modify any data stored on your RDA.

·

Back up the data stored on your RDA with HotSync technology and synchronize the data on your
Palm Desktop. Synchronization is a one-step procedure that ensures your data is always safe and
up-to-date. See "

Exchanging and Updating Data using HotSync Operations

" in chapter 10 for more

information.

·

Import and export data, so you can easily transfer data from other desktop applications into any of
your main applications. See "

Importing data

" in chapter 2 for more information.

·

Print your Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, and Memo Pad information on any printer.

Installing Palm Desktop Software

The following instructions guide you through installing Palm Desktop so that you can transfer data
from your computer to your RDA.

After installation, refer to the online Help in Palm Desktop for information on how to use the software.

To ensure a safe and uninterrupted installation of Palm Desktop, do the following before
installing:

Turn off your computer and connect the cradle/communications cable to it. Do not place your RDA
in the cradle or connect it to the communications cable until instructed.

·

Do not copy the Palm Desktop files to your computer's hard disk. You must use the installer to
place the files in their proper locations and to decompress the files.
