• While doing this pay attention to the recording level display (52). The upper LED
indicator row indicates the output signal level and should not exceed “+4dB“ if
possible. Keep an eye on the PEAK display as well (5), if it lights that means the
input signal will be distorted and then the GAIN control (4) should be turned down
accordingly.
• Repeat the setting for all channels. For stereo inputs instead of monitoring the
GAIN control, you should be monitoring the MIC control and LINE control to main-
tain the right input levels.
• All channels should be set to about the same volume so that, when cross-fading
between the channels, no great differences in the volumes arises which would
otherwise result in a regulation of the output signal.
Make sure that the connected loudspeakers and the amplifier are
not overloaded. There should be no distortion during playback, this
could otherwise damage the amplifier and loudspeakers.
If the music signal is distorted in spite of the fact that the volume on
the amplifier is not at a high setting, and all the settings on the
mixer are correct, then switch off the mixer immediately and check
all connections. If you can find no errors in the connection, please
contact a specialist.
Using headphones
Before plugging the headphones in or out, putting them on or tur-
ning the mixing desk on or off, please turn the headphone volume
controls (50) to the "MIN" position on the left! Otherwise there is
the risk of an excessive volume at the headphones output.
Increase the volume gradually until the desired level is reached in the headphones.
