Controls and Parts
(1) Infrared receiver for the remote control
(2) Laser outlet - Attention, here the laser beam is released
(3) Controller for controlling the music
(4) Function
switch
(5) Connection socket for power supply unit
(6) Switch: POWER SWITCH
Inserting/replacing the remote control battery
Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery.
Remove the battery when the device will not be used for a while.
Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use
suitable protective gloves.
Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a
fi
re. Furthermore,
the battery can not be recharged. There is danger of an explosion.
• In order to insert or replace the battery, open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and
pull out the battery holder.
• Insert a new button cell battery (Type: CR2025) into the holder, observing the correct polarity. The correct
polarity is indicated on the back of the remote control.
• Slide the battery holder into the remote control again until it clicks into place.
• If the transmission range of the remote control decreases or the remote control no longer functions, the
battery must be exchanged.
Connecting the power adaptor
The mains socket, to which the laser is connected, must be easily accessible so the
device can be quickly disconnected from the mains supply if there is ever a fault.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains voltage can
give severe electric shocks, which can be fatal.
Do not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and professional way to
prevent accidents.
• Plug the low-voltage plug of the enclosed power unit into the connection socket (5).
• Plug the power supply unit into a wall socket.
Operation
Device operation
• The switch: POWER SWITCH (6) turns the device on and off.
Position l > the device is switched on; position O > the device is switched off.
• The function switch (4) sets the operating mode.
Position: MUSIC > Sound-to-light operation (control is temporally in sync with the music)
Position: AUTO > automatic operation via the inbuilt controller
• The controller for controlling the music (3) adjusts the microphone sensitivity of the device to the volume of
the music. Set this controller such that the laser effect is temporally in sync with the music.
Operation via the remote control
• The key: switches the device on or off. However, this key is only operative once the POWER SWITCH
(6) is position: I.
• The key:SPEED controls the speed of the laser’s effects:
slow > medium > fast
• The key:COLOR controls the colour of the laser’s effects:
green > red > green & red > green & red
fl
ashing > Laser switched off > green & red alternately
• The key: AUTO/MUSIC alternates between sound-to-light operation and automatic operation. This key
overrides the function switch (4) on the device.
• The key: PATTERN selects from the various light patterns.
• The key: MODE selects from the various types of movement.
Handling
• Never switch the laser effect device on and off at short intervals. This will considerably reduce the working
life of the device.
• The device is not suitable for continuous use. Pauses in operation increase the working life of the product.
• Never switch on the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold into a warm environment. The
condensation that forms might damage your unit.
Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on. Wait until the condensation has evapo-
rated.
• To ensure suf
fi
cient ventilation, never cover the device. In addition, the air circulation must not be obstructed
by objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains or similar items.
Maintenance
Before cleaning the laser, disconnect it from the power supply (disconnect the power
supply unit).
Make absolutely sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry brush.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface of the case.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
Remove the battery if there is one inserted and dispose of it separately from the product.
Disposal of used batteries/storage batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries; their disposal in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries contain harmful materials and are labelled with the symbol
shown to indicate that disposal in the household waste is forbidden. The symbols for the
relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. You can return used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting point of your local authority, to our
stores or to any other store where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thereby ful
fi
l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
