Connection
a) Connecting the inputs
LINE/CD CH-1 to CH-5 (34)
The mixer is equipped with the LINE/CD RCA stereo inputs to connect LINE/CD audio devices such as a tuner, a
CD player or an MP3 player. These inputs are only suitable for the connection of line-level audio devices.
These inputs are not suitable for record players.
PHONO/LINE CH-1 to CH-3 (35)
The mixer is equipped with three RCA stereo inputs for the connection of your record player. These inputs are vari-
able inputs. They can be set using the respective PHONO/LINE (36) switches above the sockets. Depending on the
switch position these inputs can be connected to a record player or a LINE device.
Switch set to LINE (switch pressed)
A device with LINE level, e.g. CD player, MP3 player or
radio, can be connected to the respective input.
Switch set to PHONO (switch not pressed)
A record player with a magnetic system (this system is
used with almost all DJ record players) can be connect-
ed to the respective input.
Only put the switch in the PHONO position if a record player is connected. Select LINE for
any other devices.
The input signal is distorted if the switch position is incorrect. There is the risk of damage
to the connected amplifier or the loudspeakers. Only press the switch when the mixer is not
switched on. If no device is connected to the sockets, set the switch to LINE.
EFFECTS RETURN TO MAIN socket (48)
The EFFECTS RETURN TO MAIN RCA socket is mainly used as input for a modified effect signal. Connect the
output of the effect unit here.
MIC connection (1)
You can connect your microphone to this input. This connection is suitable for a dynamic microphone or a con-
denser microphone with its own power supply. The microphone input is equipped with a special socket. You can
connect a 6.3 mm jack plug (unsymmetrical) or an XLR plug (symmetrical).
The input is not suitable for a LINE level device or a record player.
