Connection and control elements
(38) LINE/CD input:
Connection for devices with LINE/CD level
(39) PHONO/LINE input
Connection for record players or devices with LINE/CD level
This input can be used for devices with PHONO or LINE level. Be sure to observe the
position of the PHONO/LINE switch (41) to avoid an incorrect setting.
(40) GND connection
To prevent hum trouble, a ground connection can be established via this screw clamp between the mixer and the
ground line of the record player (usually black cable with clamp-type socket).
(41) PHONO/LINE switch
Use this switch to select the input sensitivity of the PHONO/LINE input (39). If a record player is connected to the
PHONO/LINE input (39), the respective PHONO/LINE switch must be set to PHONO (switch is not pressed). If a
device with a LINE/CD level is connected to the PHONO/LINE input, the respective PHONO/LINE switch must be
set to LINE (switch is pressed).
Only put the switch in the PHONO position if a record player is connected. Select LINE
for any other devices.
The input signal is distorted if the switch position is incorrect. There is the risk of
damage to the connected amplifier or the loudspeakers. Only press the switch when
the mixer is not switched on. If no device is connected to the sockets, set the switch to
LINE.
(42) EFFECTS SEND FROM PFL sockets
The CUE Signal is present in these sockets. Use the MONITOR CUE switch (16) to select the signal. The signal
can be fed to an external effect unit. The headphones CUE signal and the EFFECTS SEND FROM PFL signal are
identical.
(43) EFFECTS RETURN TO MAIN sockets
The EFFECTS RETURN TO MAIN sockets are mainly used as input for a modified effect signal. The input sensi-
tivity of the channel cannot be set on the mixer. The signal strength has to be set on the connected effect unit.
(44) MASTER OUT connection
RCA connection for the downstream amplifier. The output level is set using the MASTER fader (18).
(45) BOOTH OUT sockets
RCA connection for an additional amplifier. The output level is set using the BOOTH LEVEL control (20).
(46) TAPE sockets
The mixed audio output signal (CH1 - CH4) is present at this stereo output. However, the REC signal is not influ-
enced by the MASTER fader (18) or the MASTER BALANCE control (19).
You can connect recording devices such as cassette recorders, MD players or CD recorders and record the mixer
signal.
