Connection and control elements
(30) BEAT ASSIST display
Automatic display of the BEATS PRO MINUTE (BPM) of the channels selected with the CROSSFADER ASSIGN
switch (21). The result is shown on the corresponding display.
If the BPM cannot be calculated properly, the display shows 160 BPM. A BPM recalculation
automatically takes place. If the input signal is too weak, the BPM cannot be calculated auto-
matically or manually. The display shows two bars.
(31) SYNC LOCK button
The mixer automatically determines the BPM of the current piece of music. If the BPM of a piece of music change,
the BEAT ASSIST display (30) shows various differing values. This is confusing for the user. When the BMP coun-
ter has determined a realistic value, press the SYNC LOCK button. The range of possible BPM is thus reduced.
When the SYNC LOCK function is active, the SYNC LED lights up. Press the button again to deactivate the func-
tion.
(32) BEAT ASSIST button
The mixer automatically determines the BPM of the current piece of music. The LED flashes for every new calcu-
lation. If the BPM of a piece of music change, the BEAT ASSIST display (30) shows various differing values. The
BPM can also be determined manually. Press the BEAT ASSIST button at least three times with the beat of the
music. The determined value is shown on the display. The SYNC LOCK function is activated.
The BEAT ASSIST button is only active when a piece of music of sufficient volume is played.
(33) SOURCE switch
Use the SOURCE switch to select the channel to be modified by the digital effect. If a channel has been selected
with the SOURCE switch, you can modify the signal of that channel via the effect processor.
(34) EFFECTS PROGRAM display
The display shows the currently set sound effect.
(35) PROGRAM switch
The individual sound effects can be selected using the PROGRAM effect switch. Turn the switch until the desired
program number flashes on the EFFECTS PROGRAM display (34). Press the PROGRAM switch to confirm your
selection. The program number stops flashing and the effect is set. See chapter “Effects” for a table of all sound
effects.
(36) EFFECTS LEVEL control:
Use this control to set the intensity of an effect.
(37) EFFECTS ON button
By pressing this button, the effect signal is played back at the TAPE, MASTER and BOOTH outputs. The button
lights up.
