Start-up and operation

Network adapter LAN1 and LAN2 (LAN2 with UBR-02 only):

For the Ethernet interfaces the IP address, network mask and standard
gateway are configured (if required). The UBR-02 router has two Ethernet
interfaces which can be configured independently of each other.

Note:

Note that broadcast messages are blocked when multiple IP
subnetworks are connected to IP routers. In such a constellation the
use of a BBMD device within the subnetwork is recommended.

Network name:

The host name as well as two name servers can be stated here for name
resolution.
