CHARGING UP THE

BATTERY

Please Note!

■

Charge the battery only indoors in an

ambient temperature of from 7°C to

40°C.

■

The power tool cannot be put into

operation when it is connected to the

mains power. It is not defective if it

does not work during the charging

process.

■

To connect the device to the plug

socket, a USB mains adapter (not sup-

plied with the device) is required.

■

Do not charge up on a computer

because the computer might be dam-

aged by the high charging current.

It is essential that you charge up the

battery fully before you first use the

device in order to achieve the maxi-
mum charging capacity.

The Li-ion bat-

tery can subsequently be charged up at

any time without shortening the lifespan.

Interrupting the charging process does

not damage the battery.

If the battery is fully discharged

during use, it must be fully

charged up again before it is next

used.

LED charge level indicator (1) –

When all

three LEDs light up, the battery is full. If

only the red LED or no LED at all is lit, the

battery needs to be charged as follows:
1. Fully unwind the charger cable.
2. First plug the barrel connector on the

charger cable into the charging sock-

et (

) of the cordless screwdriver and

then connect to a power source with

USB interface (preferably via a USB

mains adapter to the plug socket).

The charging process then begins and

the red LED lights up. The handle (

)

may become warm when the battery

is charging. This is normal.

3. As soon as the red LED goes out, the

battery is charged.

Disconnect the charger cable from

the power source and then from the

charging socket. Do not leave the

charged battery connected to the

power source.

Please Note!

■

When the power tool is not in use

and before inserting or removing a

bit in / from the bit receptacle, always

move the rotation direction change-

over switch to the middle position.

This will lock the operating switch and

prevent the power tool from being

switched on accidentally.

■

Do not overtighten screws so that you

do not damage them or the work-

piece.
