SYSTEM
WARNING:
Power must be disconnected during installation and when making
any changes to wiring after installation.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1.
Refer to thruster manufacturers' specifications for fuse/breaker
and isolator requirements.
2.
Refer to thruster manufacturers' specifications for main power
cable specifications.
3.
An additional isolating switch should be installed for controls if the
main breaker or isolator is not readily accessible from the helm.
4.
If thruster control circuit uses negative switching, connect a relay
between the AA702A output and the control wire to convert from positive
to negative switching.
5.
Base Station must be positioned to allow internal access during
and after installation.
6.
Stern and Bow output locations stated are the default locations.
These can be swapped in the AA710-6 system setup menu.
7.
There must be an alternative method available to operate the windlass, thruster or other equipment.
A failure of the wireless link will result in loss of control of the equipment via the AA710-6.
8.
Installations must be carried out in accordance with USCG, ABYC,
NMMA and BMEA requirements.
