Charging the battery
Each battery shall be charged prior to operation of the equipment. This is also required
for batteries that have been used for a prolonged period of time and have become weak.
A new battery or a battery which has not been used for a long time will only deliver
sufficient power after approximately 5 cycles of charging and complete rundown. During
charging the battery may become warm which is normal..
Attention: Do not charge the battery with ambient temperature below 4°C or above 40°C.
The recommended temperature when charging is approx. 24°C. Never use the supplied
battery charger to charge other equipment or different types of batteries.
Charging with battery charger station
Remove the batteries and insert them in the battery charger station.
The batteries can only be inserted in the battery charger station one way. Do not use
force. Ensure that the batteries are inserted properly.
Put the plug of the battery charger station in to the wall socket of the mains (230 Volt).
Under normal use a charging period of 4 hours should be sufficient for most operating
conditions. Prolonged charging in access of 6 hours should enhance the performance
considerably.
Remove the batteries from the battery charger station.
Charging without battery charger station
Remove the cover of the battery holder (fig. H and fig. I) and ensure that the batteries are
installed.
Connect the plug of the battery charger with the connector fitted on the battery holder
(fig. J).
Put the plug of the battery charger in to the wall socket of the mains (230 Volt).
Under normal use a charging period of 4 hours should be sufficient for most operating
conditions. Prolonged charging in access of 6 hours should enhance the performance
considerably.
Remove the plug of the battery charger from the wall socket followed by the plug of the
connector.
Attention: Do not switch-on the equipment whilst the battery charger is connected.
