configuration utility is used, it will over-ride the switch settings (ignore the position
of the switches).
5. A new US DST standard is to be effective beginning in March of 2007. After the
DST change in October of 2006 has occurred, wait until November 5
th
and then select
the new standard (US Post 2006 Standard). The best time to perform this selection is
around the New Year, to ensure that the new standard changeover does not occur in
the incorrect year.
Problem: The clock hands are running backwards.
Problem: The hands are running fast (at a rate of 1 revolution every two seconds for the
minute hand).
Possible Reasons/solutions:
1. The CLKTCD12 is in a rapid adjust mode. This is normal operation for the clock
during an adjustment.
2. Upon acquisition of time code during initial startup, or a change to the internal time
reference (as compared to the time code input) caused by power loss, configuration
changes to time zone offset, daylight saving time, or entry into/from daylight savings
time will cause the clock to enter a correction cycle. This correction cycle may take
up to 20 minutes. This is normal operation for the clock.
Problem: The clock hands are not moving, and the red status LED is OFF.
Possible Reasons/solutions:
1. The clock does not have power applied. Check the AC or DC power cord and source.
Verify that the correct voltage is being applied; please see the specifications page for
additional information.
2. The Run/Set switch is in the SET position, move the switch to the RUN position.
3. The USB Configuration utility is being used to set [Calibrate] the clock hands.
4. The internal power supply or the motor/motor drive has failed.
Caution: Do not
open the case of the clock, there are no user serviceable parts inside. Please
contact technical support to arrange for an RMA (return material authorization) to
have your clock evaluated for repair.
