How to program your remote control
J. Programming the volume buttons
The volume (VOL+, VOL-, and Mute) has been programmed by
default to work with the “MODE” button in the following ways:
STB: STB TV: TV VCR: STB DVD: DVD AUX: AUX
However, you can program your remote to control the volume of
another device that corresponds to one of the “MODE” buttons.
If you want to control your TV’s volume using your remote
control’s “MODE STB” button, follow these steps:
Step 1
Simultaneously press the “MODE STB” button and the “OK/SEL”
button for 3 seconds. The light on the “MODE STB” button will
turn on for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Press the “VOL +” button
Step 3
Press the “MODE TV” button. The light on the “MODE”
button from step 1 (STB) will blink twice to confirm it has been
programmed.
If you want to control the volume with the “MODE STB” button
while in “MODE TV”, repeat the previous steps but press the
“STB” button in step 3.
K. Programming a “macro” button
The “M1”, “M2”, and “M3” macro buttons are designed to be
programmed, for instance, to rapidly select the channel that you
prefer in “MODE STB”. This will allow you to program up to 5
channels with 2 digits, 4 channels with 3 digits, or 3 channels with
4 digits. You can use one single button to quickly tune in to any of
these channels.
Step 1
Press the “MODE STB” button to select “MODE STB”.
Step 2
Simultaneously press the “M1”, “M2”, or “M3” macro button
you want to pair with your favourite channel and the “OK/SEL”
button for 3 seconds. The “MODE STB” button will light up for 30
seconds.
Step 3
Enter the 2, 3, or 4 digits corresponding to the channel you want
to pair with first (for example: 007) by using the numbered
buttons. Press the “STOP” button. Repeat this process for the
2nd and 3rd channels. The “STB” will blink once for each channel
entered.
Step 4
Press the “CH +” button to save your programmed sequence. The
“MODE STB” button will blink twice to confirm that it has been
saved.
To access the channels you’ve paired with the macro buttons,
press a macro button once. You’ll quickly tune in to the 1st
channel. Press a second time to tune in to the 2nd channel, and a
third time to tune in to the 3rd channel.
L. Restoring your remote control’s default settings
One single step
Press the “MODE STB” and the “REC” buttons for 5 seconds until
the 5 “MODE” buttons blink 3 consecutive times. This will restore
your remote’s default settings and erase its memory.
