M3 & M5 Systems | V7 | Installation
Upgrading from M3 to M5 System
You can upload a license file to upgrade your M3 system to an M5 to be able to add more sensors.
Before you begin
For this task, you need one license file (*.zob). Refer to sales' headquarters to get them.
About this task
Note:
This procedure applies for receivers
version 06.00.05 and above
.
By default, Mx systems are limited to a specific number of sensors: 12 PRP sensors (e.g. catch,
spread, trawl speed...) and 1 NBTE sensor (Explorer sensors). You need a license file to disable this
limitation and to be able to add more sensors. The license file also allows you to add a TE SC sensor
to the system.
When you disable this limitation on an M3 system, it becomes an M5 system.
Procedure
1.
In Firefox web browser (
version from 22 to 51
), enter your receiver IP address to access the
receiver web page.
On the receiver page, you can see that the system is on the default (DEF) limited configuration
(12 PRP sensors and 1 NBTE sensor).
2.
From the tree view of the system on the left side of the page, click
Settings
.
3.
In
ZOB Upgrade
, click
Browse
and select your license file.
The system reboots.
4.
After the system has rebooted, refresh the receiver page.
Results
The message on the top of the page indicates the number of PRP (50) and NBTE (10) sensors
that can be added to the system and if a TE SC sensor can be added. The M3 system is now an M5
system.
