4. Ventilation Mode: (HEATER MUST BE IN THE STAND-BY

MODE FOR THIS FEATURE). In this mode the elements will
not be energized and only the single speed fan will run.
When screen is in activated state, it should display: current
temperature and its symbol, Ventilation mode icon, or lock
icon. If no button is pressed in 30 seconds, it should illumi-
nate a half blue color.

5. Lockout Mode: Press and hold ON/OFF and down buttons

simultaneously for 1.5 seconds, the lockout symbol will illu-
minate.  Press both buttons again to toggle lockout symbol
on or off.

Tip: In the lockout mode, only ON/OFF button is available. After
the power is turned on again or service is restored after a power
failure, the previous setting on lockout mode is active.

6. Fahrenheit or Centigrade Mode: Press and hold MODE and

DOWN buttons simultaneously for 1.5 seconds, the °C or °F
symbol will illuminate. Press both buttons again to toggle
between °C to °F.

7. Volume Adjustment: Press the UP and DOWN buttons simul-

taneously for 1.5 seconds and then press UP or DOWN to
set volume of Beeper:  Hi(2), Low (1), and OFF(0), screen
displays different number for different  volume of sound of
the beeper.  Press Mode to lock in your choice.

8. Failure Codes for Temperature Control Operation Display

shows failure code: E1: Thermistor OPEN  E2: Thermistor
SHORT. If the heater is in working heat mode or vacation
mode, and if there is a temperature sensor failure then the
heater will stop working.  It will provide 10 alert sounds and
the failure code will blink continuously in bright blue light.
The ON / OFF icon will be displayed in blue light.  All other
icons will be turned OFF and will not be displayed.
Immediately turn heater OFF at the service panel.
Investigate whether the thermistor cable is plugged in or not
on the power board. If it is plugged in, check if it has opened
or shorted. An open or shorted thermistor should be
replaced. Call the factory for assistance or call a licensed
electrician to inspect the heater.

9. Safety Alert Status for Thermal Limit Operation: If Alarm red

light comes ON, (visible by looking through grille) this means
the Safety Limit has functioned. Turn the heater OFF at the
service panel. Investigate whether or not the heater’s inlet or
outlet air openings are clear. Call the factory for assistance
or call a licensed electrician to inspect the heater.

10.BMS (Building Management System): This feature is for

optional use by building management systems. A red jumper
wire connecting terminal A and B on the electronic power
board can be removed and replaced by a Building
Management System Switch. DO NOT REMOVE THE RED
JUMPER UNLESS CONTROL BY A BUILDING MANAGE-
MENT SYSTEM IS BEING USED. A remote “dry contact”
switch connected to terminals A-B on the control power
board enables or disables control of the heater. Only a “dry
contact” is required since it will not carry any load. This con-
tact if “open” puts the heater in a standby “BMS” mode and it
cannot be operated at the heater. When the heater is in the
standby “BMS” mode, the element and fan is not operable
and only displays the ambient temperature. BMS ICON
(RED) will blink, (1) one second ON, (2) two seconds OFF.
All other icons are turned off, and all buttons are disabled.
When the remote dry contact is “closed” the heater returns to
normal operation and all touch button functions are available
at the heater.  With nobody to control the heater functions at
the heater location, the next ON cycle for the heater (when
the BMS dry contact is closed) the heater automatically
defaults back to the last setting prior to the time when the
Red  jumper was removed from the terminal block or when
the dry contact was last opened. The desired set point tem-
perature of the unit on BMS control  should be adjusted and
leave the unit powered up and not on Standby Mode before
giving  “automatic” heating control to the Building
Management System.

11.Restore Factory Settings (HEATER MUST BE IN THE

STAND-BY MODE, ON/OFF icon is amber color)

The factory settings are: Heat mode, set point is 70ºF (21ºC),
Beeper volume is low.

In the STAND BY MODE, press the MODE and DOWN but-
tons simultaneously for 1.5 seconds, the beeper sounds a
beep and factory settings are restored.

Operational Notice

This heater is equipped with a manual-reset safety limit control
that will automatically turn off the heater if it overheats to pre-
vent a fire.  A red warning light will illuminate (visible through the
grille) to alert that this control has activated.  See Figure 7 for
the location of these devices.

TO RESET SAFETY LIMIT (SEE FIGURE 7)

The manual reset button is located behind the front grille above
the element on the left side.  Once the heater has cooled, push
the reset button through the grille. The heater should return to
normal operation.

THE  ACTIVATION  OF  THE  SAFETY  LIMIT  CONTROL  AND
RED  WARNING  LIGHT  OCCURS  WHEN  THE  HEATER
OVERHEATS.  CHECK HEATER TO MAKE SURE IT IS NOT
BLOCKED – IF SO, REMOVE THE BLOCKAGE.  IF THERE IS
NO BLOCKAGE, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE HEATER
BE  INSPECTED  BY  A  REPUTABLE  ELECTRICIAN  OR
REPAIR  SERVICE  TO  ENSURE  THE  HEATER  IS  NOT
DAMAGED.    DO  NOT  CONTINUE  TO  USE  HEATER  IF  IT
REPEATEDLY CYCLES OFF ON THIS SAFETY LIMIT.
