8. Connect building ground conductor to the back box by

connecting the supply ground leadwire to the green ground
screw located in the inside top of the back box.

9. Secure disconnect switch bracket in place.

Installation of Heater Assembly

Carefully position the heater assembly, with fan on top, and ele-
ment on bottom into the back box.

NOTE: The heater assembly must be carefully positioned to
ensure the wires and wire connector are not trapped between
the heater assembly and the back box.

Once the heater assembly is positioned correctly in the back
box, fasten securely using the four screws provided, one in each
corner

Wiring of Heater

Refer to wiring diagram Figure 4

1. Connect the black (L1) heater pigtail from disconnect switch

to the black power lead on the heater assembly.

2. Connect the red (L2) heater pigtail to the other black power

lead.

3. If not already done, connect building ground condutor to

green ground screw in heater back box.

Building Management systems (BMS)

The red jumper wire connected between terminals A and B on
the control terminal board (Figure 4, Wiring Diagram) can be
used for connection to a Building Management System (BMS).
Replace the red jumper with a dry contact (no voltage) switch:

When switch is open, BMS controls heater. Heater will not work,
BMS light on the heater touchscreen blinks.

When switch is closed, heater operates at same setting as when
switch opened.

Installation of Grille and Control Wire Connector

1. Position the grille in front of the heater assembly, extend the

wire connector from the heater assembly to the matching
connector from the back of the electronic control, behind the
grille.  The connector is keyed so it will fit only one way.

NOTE: Press the connector gently and firmly, but do not force,
making sure the clip on the connectors engage.

2. Once connected, position the grille over heater back box

assembly aligning top of grille with the flange along top of
back box.

3. Attach the grille using the 4 mounting screws provided.

OPERATION

Initial Setup Instructions (Performed by Installer)

NOTE: After installation, the installer should perform the follow-
ing procedures to ensure proper operation of the heater.

1. Turn Unit ON: When the heater is first powered up the

buzzer beeps for one second and displays all icons in high
luminance and ON/OFF icon in half blue luminance for 3
seconds, then the unit will go to Stand-by Mode. In this mode
only the ON/OFF icon illuminates in orange color in half lumi-
nance and all other icons will be OFF.

On Standby mode, when the ON/OFF button is touched, all 4
buttons will illuminate a bright blue color indicating the heater
is ON and the display board is powered up.

2. Modes of Operation: The heater has five modes of operation.

Heat Mode, Ventilation Mode, Lockout Mode, Centigrade or
Fahrenheit Mode, and Volume Adjustment Mode.

3. Heat Mode: When the power icon is ON, the first time you

touch the Mode button the unit will go to the HEAT Mode.
The screen is activated (heat icon blinking) and you can set
the set point temperature (blinking) by raising or decreasing
to your desired set point temperature.  Touch mode button
again to lock the desired temperature in place. Or, wait 30
seconds and it will lock in place automatically.  If the screen
is in the activated state, and there isn’t any button pressed in
30 seconds the display illumination is cut in half.
