The appliance gets very hot during operation. When the
z
appliance is in use only the handle can be touched. Please
ensure also that the lid has been closed properly. Do not
touch the housing when the appliance is hot.
This appliance has been designed to boil water. Do not fill
z
it with any other liquids.
The kettle is equipped with overheating protection that
z
cuts off the power if the heater gets dangerously hot. This
may happen when there is no water in the kettle or when
the water level is below the minimum level. In such case
the appliance may be turned on again only after the hea-
ter gets cold (please wait about 15 minutes). It should be
remembered that a permanent damage will occur if the
heater gets dangerously hot several times. This may also
cause the housing, the lid, etc. to be deformed.

Clean the inside of the kettle using mild detergents and then
boil the water several times to the temperature of 100º. Always
use fresh water for each boiling and fill the kettle to the maximum
level. Do not use the water from the first boiling operations.
If the smell cannot be removed, add 2 spoons of soda to the
water, boil and then discard the water. Rinse out the kettle.
operation
Attention:
The kettle works correctly only if the lid has been closed
−
properly.
Unwind the cord from the base.
−
Position the base on a dry, stable and flat surface, away
−
from edges.
Lift the kettle from the base. Do not fill the water if the
−
kettle rests on the base.
In order to open the upper lid, press the release button.
−
Fill the kettle with as much fresh water as you will need and
−
ensure that the lid has been closed properly. Always check
if the minimum (MIN) water level has been exceeded and if
the maximum (MAX) water level has not been exceeded.
After filling close the lid properly, as failure to do this will
−
cause the appliance not to turn off automatically when the
water is boiled. This may also cause the heater to get dange-
rously hot and boiling water to escape from the kettle.
Place the kettle on the base and ensure that the lower part
−
of the kettle fits the base neatly.
Connect the plug to the mains outlet.
−
Set the desired temperature and then press the start
−
button.
The kettle switches on and status lights turn on.
−
When the water is ready, the kettle turns off automatically
−
making a sound signal. Status lights go off.
Hot water can now be poured into another vessel through
−
the spout. Do not lift the lid while pouring the water.
The kettle can be turned off manually at any time by pres-
−
sing the start/stop button.
The kettle is equipped with temperature sustaining fun-
−
ction. In order to use this function press the “Keep warm”
button after boiling the water.
