below horizontal.

Increase engine rpm to recommended
setting.

Lack of lubrication on boom sections.

Properly lubricate all boom sections.

Extremely tight boom extension
sheaves.

Inspect and properly lubricate boom
extension sheaves.

Improper boom alignment caused from
side loading.

Reduce and properly hoist load.

Worn boom wear pads.

Replace wear pads and properly lubricate.

Distorted boom section.

Replace distorted section.

Damaged telescope cylinder.

Repair or replace cylinder.

Clogged, broken, or loose hydraulic
lines or fittings.

Clean, tighten, or replace lines or fittings.

Damaged control valve.

Repair or replace control valve.
